Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked
Lost in blue is one of those interesting titles that Nintendo strives to make. Although a lot of Nintendo's non mascot games (ex. Mario, Donkey Kong, ect.) aren't worth hardcore gamer's time lost in blue has an unique quality that makes you come back for more. The game is survival based with two goals, One stay fed, hydrated and rested, two get off the island. As you progress through the game your character learns how to build tools like bows for hunting, spears for fishing, and a lot more. Doing tasks like fishing and cooking will start mini games where you have to time your wiimote swings to perform certain tasks which adds a unique taste to game play. The story line is weak but what it lacks it makes up for in game play. Along with the main character there's also a side character which you must keep alive in order to avoid a game over. Although you don't need to bring her where ever you go you still have to make sure she stays healthy. Wandering away to far with out leaving her with food or water can be deadly. Another fun factor is planning ahead making sure if your going to be away from camp that you bring enough food and water with you to stay alive. So far this is one of the few titles for the wii that was worth my time apart from other titles like Metriod and Mario. Over all the game brings quite a bit to the gaming table and holds its own against the bigger titles. Its definitely worth looking into.

Call of Duty Elite
All right this ones for all of the COD fans. Call of Duty is about to release its greatest creation yet Elite. Its basically a social networking site for COD fans. Its not officially released yet but you can sign up to become a beta tester. The site offers a whole new way to game like you've never gamed before it allows you to connect with players from every walk of life. Keep track of your stats with the career tab allowing you to review your latest game with in depth heat map showing where you died and where your enemy is and where you killed and you were. The connect tab allows you to join groups for pretty much everything. Lets say you like dinosaurs then you can connect with people who share the same interest. My favorite tab is the compete tab allowing you to join competitions to win actual stuff and their not messing around with the prizes either, things like 47" HD TVs, cameras, and i even think i saw a jeep in there. The buck doesn't stop there teh last tab, Improve which is kind of a cool tab it allows you to see over head views of your favorite maps and a few tips on how to better play these levels. Like for example on nuke town you can view the spawn points of your favorite modes. Lets say you click on domination it tells you the location of each capture and the starting spawn points of each faction. Pretty neat right? Well you can sign up for the beta at this site callofduty.com/elite . Join up and start bringing your game to whole new level!
